Kate Adie CBE – SOLD OUT!
In conversation with Suzie Ladbrooke
12 midday Thursday 16 May
Wedmore Village Hall BS28 4EQ
Kate Adie is one of the most well-known and respected journalists in the world. So Wedmore is very proud of her links with the village: after speaking to a sell-out Village Hall in 2019, Kate agreed to become one of our Patrons and we are delighted that she has now agreed to appear at the Festival once again.
Kate needs no introduction. One of the first British women to send despatches from danger zones all around the world, she has been involved in reporting from many of the major international conflict areas including the Gulf Wars, the Balkans, Tiananmen Square and Belfast.
After more than 30 years as a frontline reporter, she stepped back a little to undertake a variety of freelance projects, including writing several books. One of the most recognisable voices on the BBC she remains a regular presenter of Radio 4’s From Our Own Correspondent.
