Following on from their sold-out debut last year, the Wedmore Ensemble returns for a second feast of chamber music and song. Catherine Lord (violin), Elizabeth Anderson (cello), Margaret Marinkovic (piano) and Hannah Kirk (soprano) will perform music by Beethoven and Brahms with songs by the celebrated composer and conductor, André Previn. But unlike in the legendary Morecambe and Wise
sketch, their notes will certainly all be in the right order!
Over the last three years these four acclaimed professionals have become firm friends. “It was pure
serendipity that brought us all to this wonderful place at a similar time” says Margaret. Cath agrees: “It is so hard for musicians to find time to enjoy each other’s company away from the concert stage. So it’s a huge pleasure to be here together, joining in with village life and finding so much going on which we can help with.”
