2025 Festival!

We laughed and danced. There was dining and wining. Entertained and informed, we were inspired and humbled by internationally acclaimed acts as well as wonderful local talent. Serenaded by street performers, we peeked behind the scenes of both the royal family and the natural world. ‘It blew my mind’ said one visitor about the festival.

There was silence and magic. Young and old, locals and visitors were enthralled. We looked to old favourites as well as to the future and also took a few risks.

Architecture and art, music classical and modern, cooking, gardening and golf were all covered. There was the best in the business, traditional and contemporary, as well as undiscovered new talent – all packed into just over a week in our wonderful village of Wedmore.

We celebrated place, not only our unique and special community, but also locales around the world. Visitors were transported to Spain with authentic foot stomping flamenco accompanied by sherry shots and tapas.

There was an electrifying performance by our very own Liam Davies on the organ in St Mary’s Church as part of our silent cinema night that was nothing less than unforgettable.

Our protégées are always close to our heart and we are always looking at ways to support young local talent and encourage a love of the arts in the younger generation.

Wedmore Festival is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who do it purely for love. We feel like we ticked all the boxes and are thrilled by the responses, but we could not do it without you, your support and also your feedback. Please do let us know what you loved and any suggestions of what we could do better.

As we look back on Wedmore Festival 2025, there are so many people we’d like to thank for their unwavering support.

To all our sponsors and advertisers; to Sophie and her team for selling tickets; to Helen and her amazing bar team; to the bell-ringers and ‘muscle’ for helping with endless seat re-arranging in the hall; all those who helped with catering, the front of house volunteers, Andy, Dave and Jason for putting the banners up, Jackie and all the work involved with the exhibition as well as all the artists and to our incredible speakers, guests and performers – WE THANK YOU.

But most of all, thank you to all of you who came along and supported the events. We hope you had fun!

We are taking a little breather, but work begins in short order on planning for next year. So we’d like to ask you all to spare 2 minutes to complete the feedback form below. And if you didn’t attend this year, we’d like to hear from you too and see what we can do to tempt you along in 2026.

Thank you everyone!
